Brenda Sue McCall
58, of Newcomerstown, died Saturday, June 14, 2014 in Union Hospital at Dover following a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Beverly (Carr) Brenneman, Brenda was born June 17, 1955 at Fort Knox, Kentucky. She graduated from Newcomerstown High School in 1974. Brenda was a homemaker and took great pride in caring for her family. She will be remembered for being an excellent cook as well as for making jewelry and other crafts. She enjoyed helping others and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Joe McCall whom she married on Jan. 22, 1977; her sons, Joey McCall and Danny (Malorie) McCall, both of Newcomerstown; her grandchildren, Kamara, Camden, Marcus, Marissa and Lamar; her father, Walter Brenneman of Newcomerstown; her siblings, Sean (Javon) Brenneman of Grove City, Ohio, Beth (Dale) Norman of West Lafayette, Keith Casteel of Minerva and Kevin Casteel of Newcomerstown; and several nieces and nephews. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Danny Brenneman.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. The family will host a memorial service celebrating Brenda's life on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Victory Assembly of God, 311 South College Street, Newcomerstown.
