David Earl Gump, Sr.
64 of 75960 Coats Rd Kimbolton, unexpectedly passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 upon arrival at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center of Cambridge. He was born Sunday, June 18, 1950 in Fairmont West Virginia to Simon Coolidge Gump and Dolly Deloris (Byard) Gump of Kimbolton. He was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School class of 1968. David insisted on owning his own company of which he worked hard over the years in Demolition and Salvage. He comes from a large family and is well known, respected and unquestionably loved by everyone. His unique personality, kind heart and even his inappropriate joking manner is what made him one of a kind. His memories will remain strong in those that had the pleasure of meeting David Earl Gump Sr, or as many call him "Pappy Dave". He will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touch in one way or another. His memory will forever live on in the hearts, through his blood, and in the minds of his of all who knew him, especially in hearts of his children and grandchildren.
Children of David, Jennette Campbell (Mark), Cresta Gump, Jon Gump (Steph), David Gump Jr. (Megan), Herbert Gump, Rebecca Gump all of New Philadelphia, Annie Gump-Ricksecker (Rob) of Sugarcreek, Todd Gump (Jessica) of Midvale, Linda Gump of Kimbolton, Jenia Gump and Callie Gump of the home. Brothers and sisters, Peggy May (Chuck) of New Philadelphia, Raymond Gump (June), Steve Gump (April), Wendy Brown (Doug), all of Kimbolton; grandchildren, Alyssa, Alexa ,Lydia, Hunter, Riley, Cameron, Haley, Gracie, Kathryn, Braxton, Brindley, Garrett, Cierra, Brady, Waylon, Corbin, Carl, Kate, Rachel; great- grandchildren, Caiden and Cooper Gump. Grandchildren deceased, Jessica and Cyle. Mothers of his children, Barbara, Ginny, Yvonne, Sabrina.
Services will be Monday, June 23, 2014 8 p.m. at Addy Funeral Home.
