82, of Duncan, S.C., died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, in Port Huron, Mich. She was born May 10, 1930, in New Philadelphia, Ohio, to the late Paul and Helen Noble. She married Thomas M. Bantz on April 28, 1951, in Massillon, Ohio. He died June 3, 2012. Mrs. Bantz was a devoted and determined woman who along with her husband, Tom, started an accounting business, Collier Financial Systems, when she was 54. She was involved for many years with the Girl Scouts of America and was a Marian Award Leader. She was a past president of The Ohio State University Mother's Association, an avid gardener, loved her flowers and birds, and was a member of the Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Saviour.
She is survived by four children, Michael (Andrea) Bantz, David (Marion) Bantz, Jane (Glenn) Johnson, and Margaret Musleve; nine grandchildren, Carolyn and Marie Bantz, Kaitlyn (Paul) Dunlap, Mayker Bantz, Gregory and Phillip Johnson, Captain Brittany Musleve, USAF, Lt. Daniel Musleve, USAF, and Lauren Musleve; one great-grandson, Carson Dunlap; her sister, Connie (Bob Decker) Noble; brother, Larry G. Noble; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas L. Bantz.
A Memorial Mass was held Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, in St. Edwards on the Lake Catholic Church. The Reverend Lee Acervo officiated. Memorials may be made to the Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Saviour, 2575 Reidville Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
