Donna Moehn Ferris
passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Aug. 21, 2013 at an undisclosed age, rumored to be just a few days past the age of 29. The daughter of Florence (Scheid) and Walter Trolz of Manchester Michigan, Donna moved to Jackson with her husband Art Moehn. They raised their three children, Deborah, Jacqueline, and Mark, in the Jackson community. After Art's passing in 1991, Donna married Duane (Red) Ferris of New Philadelphia, Ohio in 1995. Donna was happiest when fostering the true love she was thankful to have found twice in her life and supporting and loving both her Moehn and Ferris families. As the President of the Digger's Garden Club and a passionate life-long gardener, Donna brought daisies and smiles to her neighbors in Jackson, New Philadelphia, Ohio and Fort Myers, Florida. She was an avid community volunteer, played golf well into her 80's and maintained her youthful enthusiasm and beauty until her last moment. Although Donna has moved on to a place where daisies grow taller and children's laughter is louder, she will be sorely missed by her family and the friends, neighbors and children she delivered smiles to.
Donna is survived by her husband, Duane Ferris; her children, Jacque (John) Kudner, Deborah (David) Tuttle, and Mark Moehn; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Kraus, Joe Tuttle, Courtney Scott, Chris Kudner, and A.J. Moehn; great-grandchildren, Olivia Tuttle and Navi Kudner. The surviving members of her Ohio family are Tom and Vernita Ferris, Bill and Donna Ferris and Rich Ferris and his daughter, Eilizabeth, Patrick, Jessica, Brody and Riley Ferris, Ryan, Erin, Breyer, Kailey and Megan Ferris along with Matthew and Lisa Ferris, and Mitchell Ferris and his companion, Andrea.
In lieu of flowers, please plant or pick a daisy in honor of Donna, and/or make a monetary donation to: Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
