E. Randy Tweady
66, of New Philadelphia, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at Carriage Inn of Cadiz following a period of declining health. He was born in Plant City, Fla. on June 29, 1947 to Earl E. and Clara (Flemming) Tweady and married Candace (Hanni) Flesher on Feb. 28, 1998. She survives. Randy retired from the US Air Force following 20 years of service and had later worked as an EMT for United Ambulance and for the Times-Reporter. He was a member of the Dover VFW and the Tuscarawas Coin Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother of Alabama; children, Whade (Maygon) Tweady of Nebraska, Ryan and Tad Tweady, both of Kansas; step-children, Clint Flesher of North Carolina, Tia Judd and Jennifer (Mike) Mohler, both of Brewster; four grandchildren; seven step- grandchildren; and a sister, Tammie Tweady of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother Greg.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Spidell Funeral Home, 209 Chestnut Street, NW, Brewster, with Pastor Jon Long officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Welty Cemetery near Brewster. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
