Edward Roland Gallion, Esq, of New York City, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012. Edward graduated from Dover High School in 1975 and received his Bachelor's Degree from Northwestern University in 1979. He served as Legislative Assistant and then Director for the Honorable Gerald Solomon, US House of Representatives from 1980-1986 while obtaining his law degree from Georgetown University. He was then selected for clerkship with the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He subsequently joined Sullivan & Cromwell, a prominent Wall Street law firm. His latest affiliations were the law firm of Gallion & Spielvogel and the International Network of Boutique Law Firms (INBLF), where Edward worked with his treasured friends, Steven Spielvogel and Josh Subin.
Edward is survived by his mother, Patsy J. Gallion, of Dover; three sisters, Susan Gallion Ball, Karen J. Kubalak, and Sharon K. Savitz all of Tennessee; brothers-in-law, Warren Savitz, and Edward Ball; nieces and nephews, Chad Savitz, Brooke Savitz, Adam Savitz, Joseph Kubalak and Jessica Kubalak were among those he most enjoyed to torment with his sarcastic wit; step mother, Nancy Gallion of Dennison; and his beloved dog, Oliver. He was exceptionally close to the Savitz family in Brentwood, Tenn., where the family congregated for holidays and special occasions. Preceding Edward in death was his father, James E. Gallion.
