Gail E. (Martin) Galantine
On Jan. 12, 2013 Gail E. (Martin) Galantine of Leesburg, Fla. left this life while surrounded by many who loved her at home. Born on Feb. 28, 1947 in Canton, Ohio, Gail was the daughter of the late Clifford and Mabel Martin. She lived her entire life in Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties aside from the past six years when she moved to Florida with her loving husband. While living in Florida, she enjoyed seeing the sights from the back seat of a Harley. She also enjoyed reading, writing, crafting and ceramics. As a young adult, Gail attended Uhrichsville High School, and studied at the Ohio State University.
She is survived by her husband, Gene P. Galantine whom she married on June 28, 1969 in Dennison, Ohio; her son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Kristy Galantine II of Dellroy, Ohio; her son and daughter-in-law, John and Margi Galantine of Jacksonville, Fla.; brother, Bill (Sue) Martin of Bradenton, Fla.; sister, Laurel Smith of Sacramento, Calif.; and sister, Jean Martin-Koopman of Pittsburgh, Pa.; along with her many cats and beloved dog Telly. Gail always loved meeting new people and having new experiences, and as she embarks on the most wonderful journey of all, she will be joined again by her mother and father, grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and her life's furry friends.
A brief family service was held at her home in Leesburg, Fla.
