Harold R. Endres
72, of New Philadelphia, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 in St. Luke's Lutheran Community in North Canton following a period of declining health. Born in New Philadelphia on Oct. 2, 1940, he was the son of the late Raymond and Clara (Rothacher) Endres. Harold completed his formal education and then honorably served his country in the United States Navy. His professional career spanned more than 30 years with the Hoover Company. Harold was a member of Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia in addition to the Catholic Foresters.
Harold's family includes his sister, Joanne (Edward) Murray of North Canton; his nieces, Faith Murray of Canal Fulton and Nadine (Joseph) Murray Burns of Louisville; his nephew, Shawn (Laurin) Murray of Milton, Fla.; and a great-niece and great-nephew, Hailey and Jeremy Thompson, both of Louisville.
Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Thursday, June 20 from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Father Jeff Coning will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church on Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia where the New Philadelphia V.F.W. Post #1445 will render military honors. Friends are invited to the Geib Family Center following the committal service where a meal will be shared.
