Kerry L. Bloom
71, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at Union Hospital in Dover after a sudden illness. Born Sept. 20, 1942 in Denver, Colo., she was a daughter of the late James Edward and Alta Doris (Davis) Bigham.
A resident of the Twin City area since the mid 60's, Kerry grew up in Colorado and attended West High School where she was a cheerleader. On March 27, 1960, she married Thomas Eugene Bloom and began her life as a devoted wife and homemaker. They were blessed with five children, Tammy K. (Fritz) Fouts, Sonya R. (John) Kohler and Harold Bloom, all of Uhrichsville, and Chasalee and Donald Bloom who preceded them in death; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Kerry is also survived by her sister, Alta Lagrimanta of Lakewood, Colo., and many nieces and nephews. Kerry will be deeply missed by her family as she was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Newport United Methodist Church and was a former volunteer for Hospice of Tuscarawas County.
Services for Kerry, officiated by Pastor Lyle Warren, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow beside her beloved husband in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
