Louis Andrew Bauer
age 78, of 1101 Larkspur Lane in Celina, Ohio, passed away at 3:35 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater. He was born on Oct. 30, 1934 in Dover, Ohio to the late Louis and Mary (Roesch) Bauer. On May 30, 1959 he married Joanne Bigler, who lives in Celina.
He is also survived by his four children, Brian Louis and Michelle Bauer of Dover, Kelly and Dr. Philip Masser of Celina, Jennifer and Gregory Heft of Bellbrook, Cathy Villacis of Cranberry Twp., Pa.; eight grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Rudy and Ruth Bauer of Denver, N.C. Louis graduated from St. Joseph High School in Dover, Ohio, with the Class of 1952. He attended John Carroll University and The Ohio State University. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Japan. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. He was a member of the Sertoma Club and the Knights of Columbus Council #1800. Louis retired in 1994 from General Telephone and he was the Area Manager in Ashland and Celina. He loved to golf and bowl. He was an avid Celina Bulldog and Buckeye Fan.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke officiating. Interment will be held at 1 p.m.on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Calvary Cemetery in Dover, Ohio, with Rev. Ronald H. Fondriest officiating.
