Dorothy DeMarco Obituary
83, of New Philadelphia died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 in the Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia. Born Nov. 1, 1931 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Maurer Guedel. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph DeMarco on June 8, 2002; granddaughter, Tonya Kiser; brother, Clayton Guedel and sister, Marjorie Huebner.
Dorothy was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Dorothy will be missed by her children, Kathy (Dave) Kiser of New Philadelphia, Brad (Tracie) DeMarco of Texas, Kevin (Leslie) DeMarco of Gahanna; sisters, Shirley Paulus of New Philadelphia, Melva (Rodney) Archinal of Navarre; grandchildren, Amy (Chris) McMillen, Melissa (Chad) Smart, Joshua, Caleb and Nathan DeMarco; great grandchildren, Katelyn Smart, Paige and Dylan McMillen.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 8 at 11:00 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. Thomas Dunkle officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Those wishing to express their fondest memories of Dorothy may do so by visiting the online obituaries and flowers link on the funeral homes website. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice House.
