Bernice D. Amos

101, of Beach City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in the Smithville Western Care Center. Born September 1, 1917 in Cadiz she was a daughter of the late Earl and Myrtle Robinson Millhorn. Bernice was also preceded in death by her husband, Wray Amos on April 13, 1980; daughter, Dorothy McDonald; brothers: Kenneth, Wayne, Dean Millhorn; sisters: Lillie Belle Coffman, Helen Hooker and Dorothy Millhorn. She was a member of the Wilmot United Methodist Church, and in her spare time, she enjoyed quilting.

Bernice is survived by her daughter, Shirley Stout of Wooster; grandchildren, Marty (Jennifer) McDonald, Connie (Jim) Hall, Chuck Stout, Tammy (Jeff) Smith; 12 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren; and son-in-law, Leonard McDonald.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 14th., at 11:00 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at 232 North Wooster Ave., Strasburg, with Pastor Ken Lewis officiating. Interment will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery at Wilmot. Friends may call at the Strasburg funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.
