Beryl Ann Kopes

86, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Community Hospice Truman House, New Philadelphia. She was born Nov. 12, 1931 in Coshocton to the late Chester R. and Beatrice (Mulvane) Best. She was a 1949 Newcomerstown High School graduate. She worked for her husband in his dental office and co-owned Newcomerstown Floral. She was the very best homemaker. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Newcomerstown. She enjoyed bowling with family and friends. She loved working in her yard and taking care of her family.

On Aug. 17, 1949, she married Dr. Donald S. Kopes who passed away on April 14, 2008. She is survived by her two daughters, Jane Kopes of Coshocton, and Karen (Dave) Archer of Newcomerstown; her grandchildren, Wendi (Don) Smith, Nate (Brandy) Archer, Andy (Jessica) Archer, and Abby (Brian) Collins; great-grandchildren, Jacob (Brittany) Smith, Dylen Marple, Aaron Smith, Holly, Jordan, Matthew, and Zachery Archer, Evan and Camrynn Archer, Maggie and Emma Collins; great-great- grandchildren, Audrina Smith and Kallie Marple; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Best of Binghamton, N.Y.; and her beloved dog, Chester. She was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Addy and her husband, Hank; one brother, Robert M. Best; and a sister-in-law, Roselyn Best.

Services will be Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Addy Funeral Home with Rev. Jessica Archer and Rev. Garry Marlatt officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
