Charles J. Byrne
82, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, Aug. 10 2013, at Gulfside Regional Hospice after enduring a lengthy illness. Charles was born on Feb. 16 1931. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Margaret Byrne; a sister, Theresa Becko; a brother, Daniel Byrne; and his eldest son, James Byrne. Charles is survived by a son, Steven Byrne of Holiday, Fla.; and daughter, Angela Byrne of Lewisville,Texas. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Daniel, Kathryn and Scott Byrne, all of Lewisville, Texas and Charles Maurer of Celina, Texas and great-grandson, Kayden Stuckey of Flower Mound, Texas.
Charles served his country proudly in the U.S. Marines and served in the Korean War. He also took great honor as a long term Color Guard for his fellow Marine veterans. He retired from Timken Roller Bearing Company, New Philadelphia, Ohio.
Charles will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.
