87, of Toledo, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord on July 23, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born in Midvale, Ohio on Sept. 6, 1925 to Edwin and Lucille Gribble and married Doris Brewer on May 28, 1944. Ed retired from Sharon Manufacturing in 1987 and was a proud UAW member. He loved hunting, fishing, and playing dartball with St. John's Lutheran Church Dartball Team. He was a member of St. John's where he was a longtime Deacon and church handyman. He also enjoyed playing euchre and attending family reunions.
He was preceded in death by his brother Melvin; sister, Wilma; two sets of infant twins (siblings) and his sons, Ronnie and Danny. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Doris; sisters, Peggy Fouts and Debbie Fox; his children, Patti (Milton) Pommeranz, Kathy (Galen) Molnar, Mark (Cindy) Gribble; daughter-in-law, Terrie Gribble; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-8 at Walter Funeral Home 4653 Glendale Avenue on Friday, July 26, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 27, 2013 from St. John's Lutheran Church 708 S. Erie St. Toledo, Ohio 43609 at 11 a.m. with viewing one hour prior. Pastor Daniel Mohr officiating. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania.
