Kathryn Delooze Obituary

Kathryn L. "Kit" Delooze
Age 75, of Dover, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, in Union. Born Nov. 17, 1939, in Weston, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Ernie W. and Vera V. Blake Weaver. Kit moved with her family to Tuscarawas County in Ohio; and graduated from Dover High School. Later, she went on to attend college, earning her master's degree from Kent State University. Kit was a loving homemaker, an educator and an oil and gas abstractor for Geiger, Teeple, Smith and Hahn in Alliance. She enjoyed the worship services at Dover First United Methodist Church, where she was a member; she knitted and crocheted; and deeply loved her family, including the dogs that shared her life over the years. In her younger days, Kit liked to swim, was part of an aqua ballet and taught swimming to handicapped children.
She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Melissa (fiancé, Jim Davis) Ross of Dover, and Virginia "Jennie" Lendon of the State of Washington; her six grandchildren: Tristen Tomblin, Aurora and Bryce Ross, Sean (wife, Sasha), Zack and Emilee Lendon; her great-granddaughter, Sara Lendon; her brother, Ernie Jr. (wife, Lynn) Weaver of Dover; and her niece, Kimberly (husband, Brian) Wright of North Canton.
Family and friends are invited to call at Dover First United Methodist Church, 1725 N. Wooster Ave., Thursday, December 11th., 6 - 7 p.m. A memorial service, officiated by Pastor David J. Kowaleski, will follow at 7 p.m. Immediately following the ceremony, there will be light refreshments in the church's social hall. Remember your mother from high school before we moved to California. She seemed quiet in those times, but was smart and had a smile indicating a great sense of humor! Am pleased to learn more about her life from the newspaper. She will be greatly missed! Am happy to have know Kathryn before she was "Kit".
