Margaret Ann Hamilton
96, a lifelong resident of Dover died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013 in the Park Village Health Care Center. Born Jan. 6, 1917 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Robert and Emma Ellwood Mason. Margaret was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Hamilton in 1989; brothers, Ellwood, Paul, Walter and James Mason; and her sister, Betty Schupbach. Margaret was a Sales Clerk for Woolworth's and LaFountains. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was also a member of the Dover VFW Auxiliary and the Dover Eagles. Margaret enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden, taking care of her flowers, camping and traveling. She also loved to dance, and was able to keep dancing into her early 90's.
Margaret will be sadly missed by her daughters, Karen (Thomas) Smith of Dover and Barbara "Kay" (Dale) Randulic of New Philadelphia; sister, Mary Alice Stucky of Michigan; brother, Robert Mason of Dover; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Dotty Hartzell officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Following the burial a funeral luncheon will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.
