Marlene L. Alfman
age 58 of North Canton, Ohio passed away after a courageous battle with cancer which included a ten year active remission, on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012. She was born on July 15, 1954 in Canton, Ohio. Marlene was the proud owner of National Beauty College. She was a very selfless, compassionate person. Marlene was involved with many different charities and was known for her generous contributions. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth Alfman; father, Glenn Hall Sr.; and brother, John Wayne Hall.
Survivors include her two daughters, Michelle Alfman and Addy Alfman; stepson, Mike (Jodi) Alfman; four grandchildren, Mitchell, Jesse, Kenzi and Cori; mother, Donna Hall; brother, Glenn Hall Jr.; two sisters of the heart, Mona Kelly and Gwen Phillips.
Calling hours will be held at the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel (801Pittsburg Ave. NW, North Canton, OH 44720) from 12-3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, with a service immediately following at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Marlene was an avid supporter of the "Fight for the Cure." However, her love for the color purple became her trademark in all aspects of life. In lieu of pink, please feel free to wear your favorite item with purple adornment to show your support of Marlene's life and her own personal "Fight for the Cure".
