Patricia Ann Hupp
77, of Gnadenhutten, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Aultman Hospital in Canton after a short illness. Born June 19, 1935 in Lock Seventeen, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Earnest and Allean (Jones) Spencer. Patricia was the valedictorian of Gnadenhutten High School's class of 1953. On Oct. 3, 1954, she married Clarence Edward "Andy" Hupp with whom she enjoyed nearly 53 years of marriage until his passing on Dec. 10, 2007. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who will be remembered for her wonderful cooking and baking. In addition to caring for her family and home, she was a clerk at Hills Department Store for a number of years and had worked at Tusco while in high school.
Patricia will be sadly missed by her sons, Martin (Angel) Hupp of the Tappan area and William (Paula) Hupp of Uhrichsville; grandchildren, Jessica (Robert) Stucin, Andrew (Allison) Hupp, Todd (Sarah) Edmonds and Ashley (fiancé, Ty Cox) Hupp; great-grandchildren, Cole Edmonds and Alex, Caiden and Ashton Stucin; great-great-grandson, Xavior; brothers, Ralph E. Spencer and E. Dale Spencer of Gnadenhutten; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Thomas Edmonds; infant brothers, Leonard L. and Cecil Spencer; and sisters-in-law, Laura and Sandra Spencer; as well as her parents and husband.
Services for Patricia, officiated by Rev. Darrell Johnson, will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 16, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow beside her beloved husband in Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
