Ronald "Shine" Scheideger 1943-2017
73, of Zoar, passed away Monday, Jan. 3, 2017 at Tuscarawas County Community Hospice House following a period of declining health. Born on July 20, 1943 in Dover, He was the son of the late Russell and Jean (Lechner) Scheideger. He worked for Hercules Engines and Park Village Healthcare in Dover. Ron was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed building furniture. He was a Statistician for 25 years for the Tusky Valley Football Team and scorekeeper for 20 years for the Tusky Valley Basketball Team.
Ron is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley I. (Stalcup) Scheideger; his three children, Nikki L. (Sam) Moore of Mineral City, Ronald "Rusty" Russell (Bri) Scheideger, Jr. of Shamrock, Texas, and Steve B. Scheideger of Westerville; his six grandchildren, Caitlin Scheideger of Bolivar, Ryan Beans of Wilmington Ohio, Aaron Beans of Mineral City, Zack Scheideger of Shamrock Texas, Jesten (Christine) Scheideger of Dover, Mickeal (Kim) Scheideger of Shamrock Texas; his brother, Gary (Lynn) Scheideger of Westerville. and his special nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Ron's wishes cremation will take place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the East Sparta United Methodist Church. Pastor Peggy Garner will officiate and burial will follow at Zoar Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the Lebold-Smith Funeral Home, 248 Park Ave Bolivar and one hour prior to service at the church on Saturday.
