Ruth E. Klaserner
89, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at Schoenbrunn Healthcare in New Philadelphia after a period of declining health. Born March 30, 1924, in Uhrichsville, she was a daughter of the late Paul O. "P.O." and Margaret Mae (Alwood) Stull. A resident of Gnadenhutten for much of her life, Ruth grew up in Uhrichsville; and was a graduate of Uhrichsville High School in the class of 1942. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and homemaker who had also worked at the former Morning View (Valley Manor) Nursing Home from 1976 to 2003. She was a longtime volunteer at the Twin City Hospital Coffee Bar and enjoyed many happy times with her friends from her card club over the years. She was a member of the Uhrichsville Christian Fellowship where her son is the pastor.
Ruth's surviving family includes a son, Tom (Julie) Klaserner of Gnadenhutten; daughters, Pamela (Ed) Allensworth of Strasburg, Linda (Bruce) Kohl of New Philadelphia, and Sue Weber of Bethlehem, Ga.; grandchildren, Stephanie Allensworth, Stephen (Janelle) Allensworth, Todd (Roxanne) Kohl, Renee (Kevin) Stewart, Keith (Maria) Kohl, Michelle Schwartz, Jeremy (Kari) Klaserner, Abram (Carrie) Klaserner, Kyle (Traci) Klaserner, Jason Murphy, Josh Murphy, and Brent (Ginger) Murphy; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Robert (Joy) Stull of Dennison; sister, Diane (Kenneth) Morrison of Gnadenhutten; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Weber; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Donald "Red" Garrett and Peg and Delmar Clark; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul "Bud" and Betty Stull and Richard "Dick" and Elaine Stull.
Services for Ruth, officiated by Pastor Tom Klaserner and Pastor Jimmy Stull, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20th., at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery in Gnadenhutten. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Uhrichsville Christian Fellowship, P.O. Box 8, Uhrichsville, OH 44683.
