Vicki L. Dyke
Age 62, of Magnolia, passed away Sunday afternoon in Aultman Compassionate Care. Born in Dover, a daughter of William and Elsie (Medley) Reynolds, of East Sparta, she had been a life resident of the East Sparta area. Vicki was a 1969 graduate of Sandy Valley High School, and then graduated from the National Beauty School in Canton. She owned and operated East Sparta Beauty Salon for 25 years, and was a member of East Sparta United Methodist Church. Vicki loved her career as a beautician; as her patrons aged and were unable to travel, Vicki made house calls to do their hair in their homes. She was known far and wide for loving and taking care of tropical birds and small dogs that had belonged to owners who could no longer care for them. Vicki lived her entire life near, and for, family and friends; she was always compassionate and accepting of others. She was loved by her family, her patrons, and by the many lives she touched. Vicki accepted Christ Jesus as her Savior and is now with Him in Paradise.
Survived by her husband, Donald Dyke, with whom she would have celebrated their 43rd Wedding Anniversary on Feb. 13; one son, Randy Dyke, of Moore, Okla.; one sister, Billie Jo Reynolds, of East Sparta; one brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Jan Reynolds, of Alliance; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the East Sparta United Methodist Church with Pastor David Naus officiating. Interment in East Sparta Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Vicki's name may be made to the , P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718; or the Stark County Humane Society, 5100 Peach St NE, Louisville, OH 44641.
