Bill and Wilma Booth
"Together Again"
Wilma Fern (Bliss) Booth
91, died peacefully on March 22, 2015 at Columbus, Ohio. She was born on Nov. 17, 1923 at the family farm near Post Boy and was the last of her generation of the Albert and Etta (Kedigh) Bliss family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill who passed away December 25, 1962; sons, Harold who passed away in 1983 and Donald who passed away in 2011; sister, Verna Stocker; and brothers, Albert, Charles, Milford, Elmer, and Virgil. She is survived by her youngest son, Dana; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy Booth and Mike LeVan; granddaughter, Nichole; daughter-in-law, Judy; aunt, Dorotha German; and many nieces and nephews.
Our mom was a long-time resident of Guernsey and a life long supporter of her community. She campaigned door to door in support of the levy to build Wheeling Elementary School, which opened in 1957 as a replacement to the one-room school house in Guernsey; served as an officer of the PTA for many years; for six decades, baked countless pies and cakes to support school and community fundraisers; and gave generously of her time to help her immediate and extended family members and neighbors. She was the best, and will be missed. In lieu of flowers, and in memory of her life-long support of her community, the family requests donations to the Liberty Community Volunteer Fire Department, Kimbolton, OH 43749.
Graveside service will be Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11 a.m. at West Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Bracken Foster officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown. Online condolences may be made at www.addyfuneralhome.com
