Betty Alpeter Obituary
Betty retired from Fairless High School in 1985, where she had been a cook and custodian.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary, both of Beach City, and was an avid quilter and card player.
She was preceded by her husband, Wayne, Nov. 19, 2001, an infant son and sister Ruth Sieber.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Galen (Cindy) Alpeter of North Canton, Dennis (Carol) Alpeter of Boyne City, Mich., Donis (Sylvia) Alpeter of Paris, O.; two brothers, Ray and Don Rieger, both of Dover; three sisters, Kathryn Bixler and Lydia Murphy, both of Beach City, and Joyce Espenschied of Dover; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A service celebrating Betty's life will be held Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, at 11 a.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City, with Pastor David Craig officiating. Interment will be made in South Lawn Cemetery, Beach City. Friends may call Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to service.
