Jeanne (Schindler) Andreas

Jeanne (Schindler) Andreas, 82, formerly of New Philadelphia, passed away at her home on Aug. 27, 2010, in Tucson, Ariz.
Jeanne was married to Jim Andreas, and they had two children, Catherine and David.
An active member of the Presbyterian Church, she did volunteer work for various organizations and was President of Jaycee Wives. In 1953 they moved to Wooster and spent 20 happy years enjoying many new friends and raising their family. Jeanne was a volunteer at Apple Creek State Hospital and found time to be a Brownie troop leader with a friend. She remained active in the Presbyterian Church as well as Youth Fellowship.
Jeanne enjoyed reading, traveling and was an avid bridge player. She worked for eight years in the Statistics Department at the OARDC in Wooster.
In 1972 the couple retired to Tucson, Ariz.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband (Jim), their daughter (Barbara), and granddaughter (Sarah Jane Gillen).
Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Catherine Gillen (Arizona); son, David (Tammy) Andreas (Arizona); grandchildren, Sam (Janel) Gillen (Ohio), Maggie Gillen (Arizona), Ben (Katie) Andreas (California), and Kim Andreas (Arizona).
At Jeanne's request there will be no services. Ashes have been given to those who requested.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Angelica Silva, a longtime friend, for her love and devotion during Jeanne's time of need.
