Thomas "Tiger" L. Mason
age 59, of Newcomerstown, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014 at University Hospital in Cleveland. He was born Monday, Dec. 27, 1954 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Encil and Gladys (Porcher) Mason. He was a 1973 graduate of Newcomerstown High School. He was a member of the Masonic Lone Star Lodge #175 of Newcomerstown and was a life member of the Elk's Lodge #1555. He was the owner of Sander's Manufacturing and the Power Shop. Tiger was an avid hunter, farmer and he also enjoyed excavating work. He was an Oxford Township Trustee of Coshocton County and was also a Cy Young Youth League coach. He attended the Isleta United Methodist Church.
On Oct. 20, 1983 he married Linda (Durben) Mason, who survives. He is survived by his children; Tyler Mason (Anthony Meyer) of Columbus, Lindsay Howell (Kristopher) of West Lafayette, Jeff Guilliams (Tanya) of Valdosta, Ga., and JoAnna D'Ostroph (Mike) of Plainfield; three grandchildren; Jett and Jaya Guilliams, Paisyn Howell; his beloved pets Eli and Hunter; and his sisters; Sandra Mahaffey of Old Washington and Cheryl Haver (Ron) of Newcomerstown and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Encil Ray Mason.
Services will be on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Addy Funeral Home with Pastor Kathy Powers officiating. Burial Will be in West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. with Masonic services at 8 p.m. Online condolences may be made at
