Eli D. Troyer
82 of 31620 CR 10 Fresno died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at his residence following a six year illness. He was born Sept. 24, 1931 in Coshocton County to the late Dan M. and Mary (Hershberger) Troyer. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Ann Barkman, whom he married Oct. 21, 1954; his children Edna (Raymond) Wengerd of Millersburg, Anna Mae (Olen) Miller of Goshen, Ind., Betty (Emanuel) Troyer and Robert (Ada Mae) Troyer both of Fresno, Danny Troyer of the home and Clara (John) Troyer of Fresno, daughter-in-law Clara Troyer of Fresno, 29 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, one brother Ervin (Clara) Troyer of Baltic and three sisters Katie Troyer and Verna Raber both of Fresno and Mary (Mose) Miller of Sugar Grove, Pa. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, two grandsons, one brother and two sisters.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 9 a.m. at the Leroy Miller Residence 31740 CR 10 Fresno with Bishop David E. Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Barkman Cemetery in Crawford Twp., Coshocton County. Friends may call anytime at the Troyer Residence. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.
