75, of Tuscarawas, died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in Aultman Hospital at Canton following a recent illness. A daughter of the late James and Esther (Whitehair) Beckwith, Agnes was born Feb. 17, 1939 at Carrollton, Ohio. Agnes, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family and she deeply cherished her grandchildren and attending their various events. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and quilting.
She is survived by her children, Don (Karis) Crites of Tuscarawas and Diana Davis of New Wilmington, Pa; a granddaughter, Jennifer (Michael) Shonk Malott of Pulaski, Pa., and Kolton (April Palmer) Crites of Tuscarawas; a great- grandson, Nathaniel Malott and a great-granddaughter, Kaitlynn Malott; a sister, Darlene (Dillon) Sears of Somerdale and numerous nieces and nephews. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald D. Crites Sr., whom she married on Sept. 18, 1954 and a son, Bobby Crites.
In keeping with Agnes' wishes there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Aultman CVSICU Team which includes; Dr. Sandhu, Dr. Duffy and Dr. Rajan and nurses, Rachel, Bev, Brian, Cindy and Angela for their care and compassion during Agnes' final days.
