Betty J. (Aeschlimann) Contini
95, of Dover and formerly Sarasota, Florida died Sunday evening, April 6, 2014 in Union Hospital. Betty was a press operator at the former Sadiron (Dover Appliance) in Dover. Born Dec. 19, 1918 in New Philadelphia, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Florence (Zimmerman) Aeschlimann. She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover. She graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1936. While in Florida, she was active in the Sarasota Players Theater Association. She had a love for music and was very devoted to her family. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her late husband, Vincent J. "Vince" Contini who died Sept. 27, 2001. In addition, she was preceded by her sister, Peggy Poore.
She will be sadly missed by her family including her daughters Judith (John) Stingel of Pickerington, Deanna (Bill) Geib and Sandy (Michael) Rubino both of Dover; a nephew, Robert Waldick of Keller, Texas along with seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Betty's family would like to thank the Hennis family and staff for the wonderful care given their mother during her stay at the centre.
Funeral services celebrating Betty's life will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 beginning at 2:30 p.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover with Pastor Dotty Hartzell officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Those unable to attend or who may wish to express a fond memory of Betty may sign the online guestbook by visiting the "obituaries and flowers" link on the funeral home website at Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John's United Church of Christ, 409 N.
