Sally J. (Sanderson) Morrow
80, of Carrollton passed away peacefully April 30, 2014, after a brief illness. Born Dec. 14, 1933, in Carrollton, she was the daughter of the late James Howard and Evelyn (Hurford) Sanderson. She was a 1951 graduate of Carrollton High School. She was retired from Carrollton and Damascus Livestock Auctions and the former Scio Livestock Auction where she served as a clerk. She was a proud 16-year volunteer of Community Hospice of Carroll County and a volunteer at the Carrollton Browse N Buy Store since it was established in 2000. She was also an active member of the former Trail Riders Saddle Club and supervised the food stand for many horse shows. She was a strong supporter of the Carroll County 4-H program where her children were members.
On Aug. 30, 1952, she married Eugene J. "Red" Morrow, who preceded her in death July 4, 1988. She is survived by two daughters, Robin (Terry) Palmer of Kilgore and Carol (Pete) McIntire of Dellroy; a son, John (fianace´ Jayne Wasmire) of Alliance; a brother, Glenn (Marjorie) Sanderson of Carrollton; two sisters, Nancy Pyatt of Florida and Tammy Sanderson of Carrollton; six grandchildren, Chris and Ben (Carly) Palmer of Kilgore, Kevin and Holly Morrow of Alliance and Derek and Chelsea McIntire of Dellroy; great-grandchildren, Cyrus and Mallaree Palmer and Parker McIntire; and her faithful Browse N Buy friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Sanderson.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Dodds Funeral Home in Carrollton with Rev. Kimberly Arbaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice or the Carroll County .
