Annette Cottrell
54, of Uhrichsville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Born Oct. 6, 1959 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late George and Marjorie (Garabrandt) Cottrell. A 1978 graduate of Claymont High School, she was active throughout her life in many musical and theatrical pursuits, including singing with the Ohio State Youth Choir and the European Youth Touring Choir, as well as playing roles in high school and Deersville Players productions. Annette attended the Dennison First Church of God for 36 years where she served as the Church Secretary, on the Hospitality and Benevolence Committees, as a Sunday school and Children's Church teacher, and as the director of the children's bell choir.
She is survived by her sister, Sevilla Pankuch of Dennison; nieces, Sara Pankuch and Jennifer (Donnie) Pallaye; nephews, George (Mandy) Cottrell, III and Lucas (Amber) Cottrell; great nieces and nephews, Hunter, Ian, Dominic, Ambrosia, Carter and Kobin; a sister- in-law, Lora (Ted) Morrow; an aunt, Flora Polton; and her canine companion, Zippy. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, George Jr. and Thomas Cottrell.
Services will be held at 1p.m. on Monday, June 9, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will be in Uhrichsville's Union Cemetery. Visitation will be 11a.m. to 1p.m. on Monday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her family in care of the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home, Inc. to defray the cost of her final expenses.
