Connie Jean Bouscher
age 68, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, in Community Hospice House, following a long illness. Born Sept. 21, 1945, at Port Townsend, Wash., she was a daughter of the late Harold and Beulah (Wolfe) Schupp. Connie moved with her family at a young age to Tuscarawas County where she grew up and graduated from Tuscarawas-Warwick High School. She married Ralph M. Bouscher, Jr. on Nov. 15, 1969, in the Goshen Community Church of the Nazarene. Connie was a loving homemaker and was employed by Walmart at New Philadelphia, from which she retired. She was a member of Roxford United Methodist Church at Dennison. Connie spent many happy times with Ralph on their pontoon boat at Atwood Lake. She also enjoyed camping, vegetable gardening, and following NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt, Jr., as well as bull-riding, on television.
Survivors include her loving husband, Ralph; her daughter, Michelle Walker of Tippecanoe; her two sons, Michael (Kelly) Bouscher of Wainwright, and Matthew (Bridgett) Bouscher of Gnadenhutten; her two grandsons, Dustin Hair and Ethan Bouscher; her two great-grandchildren, Ella and Landon Hair; her sister, Marian Schupp of Lock Seventeen; and her several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Connie was preceded in death by three half-sisters, Barbara Cox, Edna Reed and Mary.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover, on Saturday, June 14, 1-4 p.m. It was Connie's wish that there be no funeral ceremony, and that she be cremated and her cremated remains buried privately in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover. To sign an online guestbook, and share a fond remembrance, please visit the Obituaries and Flowers link on the Toland-Herzig website. Instead of flowers, donations in Connie's memory may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., or to the family-to help them at this difficult time, at 6650 Byers Rd. N.E., both addresses at New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
