Arnet E. Lang
79, of Dundee died Friday, June 13, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born March 2, 1935, in Dresden, Ohio, to the late Gilbert and Dorothy (Ramsey) Lang. He had owned his own milk route and delivered milk to Alpine Cheese, was retired from Norfolk and Southern Railroad, was a bus driver for Garaway Schools and was a member of the Dundee United Methodist Church. He was married June 4, 1955 to the former Clara M. Hershberger, and she died Aug. 19, 1997.
He is survived by his children: Keith Lang of Hartville, Donna (Kurt) Lawrence of Kansas, Darlene (Duane) Wilbur and Patricia (Mark) Frazier both of Dundee and Tammy (John) Klaiber of Sugarcreek; 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; his special friend, Amanda Amstutz of Sugarcreek; his three brothers: Glen (Roberta) Lang of Colorado, Ernie (June) Lang of Mt. Vernon, Hartzel (Wilma) Lang of Canton; and sister, Shirley Jefferies of Massillon. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Services will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek with Pastor Ray Garvin officiating. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Memory Garden at Dover. Friends may call on Sunday 5-8 p.m. at Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek, and on Monday from 10-11 a.m. prior to service. Memorial may be made to Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
