Robert W. Lenhart
89, of Columbus and formerly of Coshocton, died Friday, June 13, 2014 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus following a period of declining health. He was born Jan. 12, 1925 in Bolivar to the late Warren and Ethel (Manuel) Lenhart. He is retired from AEP where he worked for 44 years. He enjoyed farming and woodworking.
He was married to the former Martha Moomaw who died Sept. 18, 2001. He is survived by his children, Lois (Rick) Wynn of Columbus and Robert (Sharon) Lenhart Jr. of Bowling Green, Ky; four granddaughters, Alison Lenhart, Cathy (Jeff) Bishop, Meghan (Jeff) McCoy and Emily Wynn (Neshawan Coleman); four great-grandchildren, Makayla, Mya, Na'lani and Sawyer; his sister, Deanna Burger of Sugarcreek; his brother, Lee (Patsy) Lenhart of Walnut and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Kent and his brother, Elden Lenhart.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek with Rev. Andy McClung officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.
