87, of Dover died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014 at Union Hospital. Born July 19, 1927 in Gnadenhutten she was a daughter of the late James and Hazel Johnson Porter.
Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, Estel W. Baker on Nov. 28, 1992 and three sisters.
She was a proud homemaker and had been a cook at Dover Station for many years. She was a member of the Dover VFW and Moose Auxiliary. In her spare time Betty enjoyed playing bingo and bowling.
Betty will be sadly missed by her children, Shirley (Jerry) Harris of Magnolia,, Walter Galbraith of Dover, Jeff (Jean) Baker of Sugarcreek and Penny (Donald) Balder of Dover; brothers, Chester (Barbara) Porter of Canton and Elmer (Donna) Porter of Massillon; sister, Dodie (Bill) Bush of North Carolina; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and her special friend, Freida Harmon.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 14 at 1 p.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Larry Fletcher officiating. Interment will be in the North Lawn Cemetery at Canton.
