87, of Uhrichsville, formerly a longtime resident of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, passed away Aug. 25, 2014 at Beacon Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Uhrichsville after a battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born April 4, 1927 in Tupelo, Mississippi, she was a daughter of the late Leroy and Ruth Miller.
Bobie was the devoted wife of Phillip Norrick who preceded her in death and a loving mother to their children, Rick Norrick (who also preceded her in death), Kimberly Callahan of Mt. Vernon and Keith (companion, Valotta) Norrick of Port Washington. Bobie is also survived by five grandchildren, Ryan, Blaine, Brandon and Aaron Callahan, and Ayden Norrick; and several great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy came from the time that she spent with her grandson, Ayden. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Nancy Walsh of California. In addition to her parents, husband and son, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ruby, Doris, Lillian and Sonny.
In her younger years, Bobie worked as a model before devoting her life to her family as a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. While living in Mt. Vernon, she attended Mulberry Street United Methodist Church and was active in the Mt. Vernon Moose Women's Auxiliary.
According to Bobie's wishes, she has been cremated without a public visitation or service. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the
