80 of 4743 Olde Pump Street, Sugarcreek (Walnut Creek) went home to be with his LORD on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. He was born Oct. 14, 1931 in Millersburg to the late Marnelius D. and Lizzie Ann L. (Yoder) Miller. He is retired from Slabaugh Wood Design and was a faithfull member of Salem Amish Mennonite Church at Newcomerstown.
He is survived by his wife the former, Malinda Mae Hershberger whom he married Nov. 4, 1954; his children, Marilyn (Floyd) Stoltzfus of New Holland, Pa., Emma Lou (Paul) Miller of Newcomerstown, Dean (Nancy) Miller of Sugarcreek, Merle (Linda) Miller of Millersburg, and Lisa Holmes of Massillon; 13 grandchildren, Shannon, Brendon, Shelbie, Justin, Stefanie, Kendra, Erica, Clint, Taylor, Blaine, Logan, Kevin, and Tisha; three brothers, Noah (Elva) Miller of Walnut Creek, Aden O. (Susan) Miller and Marnelius (Twila) Miller Jr. both of Sugarcreek, and Melvin (Betty) Miller of Millersburg; two sisters-in- law, Polly Miller and Betty Miller both of Millersburg; and brother-in-law, John L. Raber of Charm. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by five brothers, Levi, Daniel, Andrew, Mahlon, and Ammon and; two sisters, Elvina and Catherine.
Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Maranatha Fellowship Church SR 93 Sugarcreek with Bishop Robert Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Amish Mennonite Church Cemetery in Newcomerstown in Coshocton County. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Marantha Fellowship Church. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.
