Burrell Ream
died March 31, 2013 at 2:05 p.m. at Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. She was 81. The daughter of Dr. Nial and Helen (Cline) Burrell, she was born May 21, 1931 in Springfield, Ohio. She is survived by her husband, Harry (Jack) Ream; sons, Steven and Kevin Peck; daughter, Amy (Glenn) Bates; stepsons, Randy (Page) Ream, Andrew (Jodie) Ream; stepdaughters, Deborah (Greg) Miller, Lucy (Ken) Gucwa, and Lynn Richardson; five grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; a nephew and a niece. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Robert G. Burrell.
Patricia was a graduate of Springfield High School and The Ohio State University School of Nursing. She was a former employee of the former Guernsey Memorial Hospital and the Cambridge Mental Health and Developmental Center as a R.N. During her active years she was a member of the Association of Practitioners in Infection Control, OSU Nursing Alumni Association, Sigma Theta Tau (Nursing Honorary). Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, Parents Council of Muskingum College, Associate of the Convent of the Transfiguration in Cincinnati, and Wing 20 of SEORMC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Guernsey County. A memorial service will be held May 4 at 1 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in New Philadelphia, Ohio. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dover, Ohio.
