age 84 of Carrollton, passed away Oct. 11, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center following a sudden illness. She was born April 7, 1929. She retired from the Carroll County State Highway Garage. Ann was a member of the United Methodist Church of Carrollton. A life member of the VFW in Carrollton. Ann enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, and was an avid bowler.
Ann is survived by two sons, Roy (Margie) Champer, Robert (Jo Ann) Champer; two daughters, Frances (Rick) Ferell, Pamela Champer and her companion, Fred Tarr IV; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Nikki, Richard, Kyrrie, Kandi-Jo, Jesica, Ashlee and 11 great- grandchildren; brother, David (Donna) Lumley; sisters, Bertha Benware and Emma Eisley. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Sarah (Henry) Lumley; late husbands, Paul C. Champer and Ralph "Red" Mason; three brothers, Howard, Donald and William Lumley.
Calling hours will be Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to funeral at the Allmon Dugger Cotton Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday, Oct. 14, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Allmon Dugger Cotton Funeral Home. Burial will be at Baxter Ridge Cemetery. Special thanks to the Cardiac Care Unit at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mercy Cardiac Care Unit.
