(Lynch) Knight
age 51, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, died late Sunday afternoon, Nov. 23, 2014 in Union Hospital at Dover following a short illness. She was born March 7, 1963 in Dover, Ohio and was the daughter of the late James Franklin and Martha Jean Lee Knight. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lynch, who died in 2002; a brother, Mark A. Knight, and two sisters, Sandy K. Weston and infant, Peggy Sue Knight. Cathy was raised with her family as part of the Leesville United Methodist Church family. A homemaker for most of her life, she made it clear that her love and support for her family was of primary importance. She was very fond of traveling, having made many memorable trips with her children. Cathy was always known to be thoughtful and generous to others who were less fortunate. She had performed volunteer cemetery restoration work when she lived in Nevada. In her spare time, she exhibited a talent for drawing, and also enjoyed family activities such as camping, fishing, and riding horses. Cathy was a 1981 graduate of Conotton Valley High School.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter, Jerome "Frankie" Knight of New Philadelphia, Codie Knight of Lawson, Okla., and Catherene Lynch of New Philadelphia; three brothers, Charles L. (Deana) Knight of Whitman, W.Va., James W. Knight of Barberton, Ohio, Michael D. Knight of North Industry, Ohio; four sisters, Sharon L. (George) Abel of Bowerston, Ohio, Mrs. Donald (Cheryl Ann) Hupp of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Mrs. Mark (Cindy Lou) Hines of Royal Center, Ind., and Mrs. Tim (Sheila) Roy of Bowerston, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 in the Leesville United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerralyn Myers officiating. Interment will follow in the Leesville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from Noon until time of services at 1 p.m. in the church. The Baxter- Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville is handling arrangements.
