Terry Taylor Obituary

Terry James Taylor 1945-2015
69, of Dover passed away on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at his home following a brief illness. Born on Dec. 31, 1945 in Dover he was the son of the late James H. and Daisy (Wallick) Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Annie Civiello; brother, Cal Taylor; and his brother-in-law, Terry Polka. He graduated from Dover High School with the class of 1964. On Aug. 15, 1964 he married the love of his life, Patty Civiello, who survives. Terry retired from Dover Chemical following 38 years of service. He was an avid Dover Football fan and a 40 year season ticket holder. Terry enjoyed cars and especially loved his Porsche. He enjoyed collecting N scale trains and Alfred Hitchcock memorabilia and was a member of the B&O Railroad Society.
In addition to his wife, Patty, he will be sadly missed by his children; Shannon (Mike) Cody of Florida, Jamie (Tracy) Taylor of Copley, Ohio; six grandchildren, Michael and Macey Cody both of Minnesota, Max and McKayla Cody both of Florida, Ashley and Brandon Taylor both of Copley, Ohio; brother, Bruce (Sharon) Taylor of New Philadelphia; sister, Patty Polka of New Philadelphia; father-in-law, Guido Civiello of Gilbert, Ariz.; two sisters in law, Mary Ann (Dan) Hicks of Sugarcreek; Cathy Civiello of Gilbert, Ariz.; brother-in-law, Michael (Judy) Civiello of Scottsdale, Ariz.; along with many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Terry's life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015 at 11a.m. with Pastor Ray Ulrich officiating. Interment will take place at Dover Burial Park. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at the Toland- Herzig Monarch Center. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 from 4-7p.m. Those unable to attend, or who would like to share a fond memory of Terry may do so by visiting the "Obituaries & Flowers" link on the funeral home's website. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663, or the Dover Tornado Club, PO Box 81, Dover, Ohio 44622.
