Clarence Charles "Klem" Frank, 69, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, February 19 at Hospice House. Born March 25, 1943, in Amboy, Illinois, he was the son of Clarence C. and Eunice A. (Steele) Frank. Klem is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Cheryl (Whitman) Frank and his son Robert Frank.

Klem graduated from Sterling High School in 1961. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. He completed his college education at Illinois State University in 1979 and attended law school at Indiana University completing his degree in 1982. Klem retired from Monroe County Public Defender's Office in 2009.
He was a loving husband and father; who was loved and respected by his family and peers. Klem enjoyed motorcycles, cars, reading, and spending time with family.
He is also survived by his mother, Eunice Frank of Sterling, Illinois, his brothers and sisters: Doug Frank (Mary) of Portales, New Mexico; Barb Melberg (Kevin) of Rock Falls, Illinois; Roger Frank of Sterling, Illinois; Lois Weissenburger (Don) of Elburn, Illinois; Bill Frank (Rhonda) of Galesburg, Illinois; Betty Mena (Ben) of Rockford, Illinois; and Gary Frank (Gina) of Sterling, Illinois; sister-in-law Nancy Frank of Sterling, Illinois; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews
He was preceded in death by his father and his brothers, Harold and Dick Frank.
Visitation will be Friday 4:00 to 8:00 at Allen Funeral Home. Services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 Saturday morning with Rev. Glenn Hughes officiating.
