Georgia Marie Swigart, 90, Watseka, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Watseka Rehab and Health Care Center in Watseka.

She was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Cushing, Okla., a daughter of Marion Norris and Esther (Schneider) Norris.
Mrs. Swigart was a school teacher for decades, teaching at Donovan High School, Woodland Elementary and Glenn Raymond.
She was in the ARMY as a WAC (Women's Air Corp) during WWII. She was a founding member for the First Baptist Church in Watseka, and was currently a member at the Centennial Christian Church in Watseka. She enjoyed sewing, music and church.
She married Lowell Swigart on June 26, 1954, in Watseka.
Survivors include Lowell Swigart of Watseka; son and daughter-in-law Paul and Julia Swigart of Hawaii; daughters Mary Leen of Silver City, New Mexico, and Martha Hill of Williams Port, Indiana; brother James Norris of Florida; grandchildren Noah Leen and Anastasia Hill; and my nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother-in-law, two brothers and sister-in-law.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pastor Joe Hughes will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Centennial Christian Church in Watseka.
Cremation rites have been made accordingly.
