Helen Eliza Burridge, 88, of Gilman, IL., formerly of Watseka, IL., died on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 9:15 A.M. at the Gilman Health Care Center.

Her funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman, with Pastor Pete Hinrich officiating.
An Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Danforth Cemetery, Danforth, IL. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, Novermber 23, 2013 at the Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Gilman.
Helen was born on October 25, 1925 in Danforth, IL., to Fred B. and Marie (Classen) Meents.
Her childhood was spent in the Danforth and Ashkum area. She attended Ashkum schools. Helen was a certified nursing assistant and housekeeper for the Iroquois Memorial Resident Home in Watseka for 11 years, retiring in 1987.
She was married to Hubert Burridge.
Surviving children are - Frederick (Tina) Burridge of Scotia, NY., Frank Burridge of Ballston Spa, NY., and Mary (Don) Smith of Kankakee, IL.
Four grandchildren - Randy Burridge, Amanda (Tom) Lundquist, Jodi (Ben) Thompson and Dustin (Christina) Smith.
Six Great Grandchildren.
Three sisters - Mildred Voigt of Ashkum, Gertrude Peters of Danforth and Erma Steiner of Watseka.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, a brother - Wilfred Meents, a sister - Mae Ethel Meents and a special aunt - Cevia Meents.
She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Gilman.
Helen was an exceptional seamstress and enjoyed crocheting.
