Loyal Edwin Turner, Jr., 75, Watseka, passed away Wednesday, Sept.18, 2013, at his home.

He was born Sept. 29, 1937, in Paxton, the son of Loyal Edwin Turner Sr. and Irene Lavon Swartz.
He married Nancy Jimison on Jan. 16, 1971 at the 1st Christian Church in Watseka.
He worked as an insurance adjuster with American States Insurance for 30 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1961 and was in the reserves for six years, he was also a member of the Watseka Wat-Cha-Kee Coin Club, Watseka Union Depot and the American Legion Post 23.
He enjoyed collecting coins and stamps, model railroading, and truck shows.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, Watseka, and his son and daughter-in-law: Eddy and Erica Turner of Watseka Illinois, his daughters and sons-and-law Michelle Myers and Rob Hickman of Watseka, Rebecca and Richard Pearce of Portsmouth, Virginia, sister-in-law Ginny Pargmann of Arizona, 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Kimberly Faye, son: Ronnie Turner, and sister; Karen Barnes.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 at the Baier Funeral home.
Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pastor Charles Witte and Pastor Wayne Meyer will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Hospice or the Watseka Union Depot.
