Ervin F. Howard, 74, of Watseka, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Watseka Rehab and Health Care Center.

Ervin was born on July 22, 1938 in Watseka, the son of Fred B. and Elsie M. Redburn Howard. He married JoAnn Shoufler in Milford, IL on November 13, 1960.
Surviving is his loving wife of 52 years, JoAnn. Other survivors include one daughter, Deanna (Joe) Moody of Bourbonnais; one son, Darren Howard of Downers Grove; six grandchildren, Patrick, Christopher, and Matthew Moody and Ryann, Mason, and Dane Howard; two sisters, Gloria Trumann of Milford and Glenda Huff of Woodland; one brother, Gary Howard of Woodland; three special sisters-in- law, Sylvia Shoufler, Linda Kochell, and Diantha Hansen; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Glen E. Howard.
Mr. Howard was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed wood working, photography, music, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. He was also an avid sports fan. Ervin was a member of the Watseka Elks Lodge #1791 and was employed at UARCO, Inc. from 1963-1997.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Joe Hughes will officiate. Visitation will take place from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Knapp Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded.
