Thelma E. Shaw, 94, of Watseka passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the Iroquois Resident Home in Watseka.

Thelma was born February 7, 1919 in Onarga, the daughter of Finley E. and Mabel M. Miller Poulson. She married Wallace C. Shaw on May 27, 1945 in Onarga and he preceded her in death on October 3, 1991.
She is survived by one niece, Joyce Burns of Watseka and one nephew, Dan Poulson of Palmyra, WI.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Leo Poulson.
Mrs. Shaw was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Watseka, Eastern Star, Iroquois County Retired Teachers Association and American Legion Auxiliary. She was an elementary school teacher in Iroquois County from 1938-1979 and was a past president of the Womans Club.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Rev. Wes Osborn will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Watseka, Iroquois Memorial Hospital or Iroquois Memorial Hospice.
