Brent Justin McTaggart, 36, of Watseka passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Brent was born March 19, 1977 in Watseka, the son of Paul and Linda Edwards McTaggart. He married Casie Seefeldt on July 27, 2002 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Surviving are his wife, Casie McTaggart of Watseka; three children, Kennedy, Andrew and Addison McTaggart all at home; two brothers, Kirk (Christine) McTaggart of Watseka and Todd (Heather) McTaggart of Eureka; his parents, Paul and Linda McTaggart of Watseka; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Les and Peggy Seefeldt of Watseka; one brother-in-law, Darren Seefeldt (fiance, Marilyn Papson) of Chicago; one sister-in-law, Calley (Michael) Kaeb of Watseka; nieces and nephews, Katelyn, Conner, Justin, Sydney, Keaton and Kaden McTaggart and Faith Kaeb; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Helen McTaggart; his maternal grandparents, Harold and Lorraine Edwards; one aunt, Janet Edwards Ward; and one uncle, Charles McTaggart.
Brent was a 1995 graduate of Watseka Community High School. He was the Art Teacher and Freshman Football Coach at Watseka Community High School and also the Art Teacher and former 8th Grade Basketball Coach at Glenn Raymond Middle School in Watseka.  Brent attended Trinity Church in Watseka, was an avid sports fan, especially of the Illini and all Watseka Warrior sports programs, and had a passion for teaching his kids.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Watseka Community High School Gymnasium. Marty Schoenleber Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Body Cemetery in Woodland.
Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2013, at Trinity Church in Watseka  and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at Watseka Community High School Gymnasium.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his children?s education fund.
