Reynolds, Thurman Jeffries "T.J." CLIFTON PARK Thurman Jeffries Reynolds "T.J.", 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's, his family was at his side. T.J. was born in Roanoke, Va. on September 7, 1927, the son of the late Clarence and Ottie Hite Reynolds. T.J. served from 1946-48 in the U.S. Army as a member of the 33rd Infantry Combat Team and went on to attend Virginia Polytechnic Institute, graduating with a degree in industrial physics. He and his wife Christine Schweyer Reynolds settled in Clifton Park where they raised their family. T.J. worked for G.E. and was employed by Mechanical Apparatus Operations in Schenectady for most of his career, retiring in 1992. T.J. was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church in Rexford as well as being a member of the ELFUN society. His first wife Christine passed away in 1988. He later met and married Marie Minicuci. The couple was the epitome of the term marriage and enjoyed each other's company over the years. T.J. was an avid snow skier and sailor. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Marie Reynolds; his sons, Scott D. Reynolds (Christine) of Manilus, N.Y., Thomas C. Reynolds (Mary) of Alpharetta, Ga. and Todd J. Reynolds (Laura) of Schenectady; his stepson, David Minicuci (Phyllis) of Clifton Park, and stepdaughter, Lidia Zander (Daniel) of Queensbury, N.Y.; his brother, Jack Reynolds of Richmond, Va. and his sister, Betty Davis of Roanoke, Va. T.J. leaves eight cherished grandchildren, Lauren Carlyle, Gregory Reynolds, Caitlin Dwelley, Margaret and Michael Reynolds, Matt Vicalvi, Antoinette and Lee Minicuci. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. from Faith Baptist Church, 11 Glenridge Rd., Rexford. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend and may also call at the church on Wednesday December 5 from 5-7 p.m. Interment will take place at Park View Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, the Reynolds family has asked memorial contributions be made in memory of T.J. to Faith Baptist Church, 11 Glenridge Rd. Rexford, NY 12148. So very very sorry to learn of the loss of TJ. He was always such a very sweet man, so kind and softspoken. I remember all the wonderful dinners that I had at your home. You were all so kind! I will never forget that. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time.
