Chur, Jean V. COLONIE Jean V. Chur, 88, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Eddy Heritage House in Troy. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret McCarrick. Jean worked for New York State Audit and Control for 20 years. She enjoyed doing crafts and painting. Along with her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband, Schuyler "Scotty" Chur; sister Joan Amsler, and two grandchildren. She will be missed by her daughters, Kathleen Chur, JoAnn Mccue and Jill Chur; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and a niece and nephew. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015, at 11 a.m., at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands. Clark, Colin Patrick DELMAR Colin Patrick Clark, 70, died on Monday, March 23, 2015. Born on May 11, 1944, in Albany, he was the son of the late Curtis and Virginia (Myers) Clark. He is survived by his wife, Connie; daughter Nicole Frazer (Bryan); a son, Chad (Amanda Boltz); grandchildren, Reagan and Mason Frazer and Chad Clark, II; and a brother, Curtis Clark (Pat). Colin was a graduate of Bethlehem Central High School. A Marine Corps veteran, he served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart on July 30, 1968. He retired as a lieutenant detective after a 30 year career with the Bethlehem Police Dept. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and doctors at the Albany V.A. Hospital E.R. and the 8B Floor staff for their care and compassion. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Clements, Rose D. - Mechanicville  
Clements, Rose D. MECHANICVILLE Rose D. Clements, 89, of Round Lake Ave., died Sunday morning, March 22, 2015, in the loving company of her family at Saratoga Care, Ballston Spa, after an extended illness. A native and lifelong resident of Mechanicville, born January 17, 1926, daughter of the late Biagio and Marie Vannucci Carbone, Rose worked for the former Korell Dress Co. and Standard Manufacturing of Troy. In the early 1970's, Rose left the work force to stay home and lovingly take care of her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. An avid walker, Rose would be seen moving at a brisk pace, and enjoyed cooking for family and solving crossword puzzles. She was a communicant of Assumption-St. Paul Church. Her husband of 58 years, Peter A Clements Jr died in 2008 and also predeceased by her sister, Dolores and brother, Carl Carbone. Survivors include her five children, Sharon Clements, Rose (Chuck) Hamm, MPD Ret. Chief of Police Peter A. (Kim) Clements III, Dominick (Jackie) Clements and David (Debbie) Clements. Also 12 grand and 13 great- grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lavazzo and Anna "Pat" Tomaro; and brothers, Kenneth, Joseph and William Carbone, along with in-laws, a number of nieces, nephews and their families. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 12 p.m. at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 No. Main St., Mechanicville. Burial in Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Cody, Helen A. - Watervliet  
Cody, Helen A. WATERVLIET Helen A. Maloney Cody, 94, on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the Teresian House in Albany, was called home to heaven by the dear Lord to be with her loving husband and son. Helen was born in Watervliet on January 3, 1921, the daughter of the late William and Anna O'Connell Maloney. She attended Sacred Heart of Mary School and Catholic Central High School. She resided in Watervliet most of her life before moving to the Teresian House in 2011. She was employed by the former Topps department store in Menands for many years. She was a wonderful homemaker who took excellent care of their home and her husband and son. She was an active communicant of Sacred Heart of Mary Church in Watervliet and was a member of the Rosary Society. Helen enjoyed ceramics, playing poker, bingo and betting the horses. She was well known for her delicious designer cakes. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur W. Cody, devoted mother of the late Arthur H. Cody (wife Luci of Menands), dear sister and godmother of Maureen (David) McMahon of Green Island, aunt of William (Helen) Maloney of Gales Ferry, Conn., step-grandmother of Tara (Mark) Burnham and Nicholas Treffiletti. She was predeceased by her siblings, Marguerite (late Fred) VanKampen, William and Edward Maloney, Virginia (late William) Riedy and Nan Maloney. She is also survived by many dear cousins and friends. The funeral will be Monday, March 30, 2015, at 11 a.m. from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and at 11:30 a.m. (note time change) at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Watervliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment, St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet. Cohen, Katherine  
Cohen, Katherine GUILDERLAND Monday, March 23, 2015, while receiving care at St. Peter's Hospice Inn, Katherine Dee Englander Cohen of Guilderland, passed peacefully after a brave fight with illness. Katherine leaves behind many devoted family members and close friends. Katherine is survived by her devoted husband, James Cohen; daughter, Susan Cohen, her fiance Paul Czwakiel; son, David Cohen, his fiance, Ronie Nevo; and son, Michael Cohen. Katherine is also survived by her sister, Peggy Englander Stark; and brothers, Paul Englander and Peter Englander. Katherine touched many lives through her years of teaching at Albany High, her prolific and exceptional art and beautiful jewelry, her writing of a 260 page memoir, "Mom, are You Listening", her one woman plays and many poems and an essay which she read on NPR, her variety of acting roles and her active involvement in advocacy for the disabled. There will be a memorial service to honor Katherine's exceptional life on Monday, March 30, at 11a.m., at Congregation Beth Emeth, 100 Academy Road, Albany. Colliton, Helen MECHANICVILLE Mrs. Helen Crannell Colliton, 89, of 180 No. Main St., died Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Rosewood Gardens, North Greenbush, following an extended illness. Born in Stillwater on February 24, 1926, daughter of the late Leroy and Laura Crannell, Helen lived for many years on Vosburgh Rd. A much appreciated and friendly telephone receptionist for Jack Byrne Ford dealership of Mechanicville for many years, Helen also had worked at the former Korell Dress Co. and West Virginia Pulp and Paper Co. both of Mechanicville. A former faithful member of Mechanicville United Methodist Church, Helen enjoyed bowling, riding motorcycles, and could carry on conversations with any and all. She loved her nieces and nephews, acting as a second mother to many, and was always there for them. Her husband of 46 years Gerald Colliton died in 2007. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Bertha Blacklock, Catherine Crannell and Betty Jane Pohl, who died this past February. Survivors include her brother, Roger (Lynn) Crannell of Goldsboro, Pa.; brother-in-law, Bill Pohl of Halfmoon, along with nieces, nephews and their families. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at 5 p.m., at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville. Spring burial in Dunning St. Cemetery. Colucci, Frederick - Schenectady  
Colucci, Frederick SCHENECTADY Frederick 'Fred' Colucci, 64, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Fred was born and educated in Schenectady, a son of the late Fred and Laura Colucci. He was a 1968 graduate of Linton High School and received his B.S. degree in business from Siena in 1972. Fred joined the family business Colucci Covering Center on McClellan Street before moving to South Avenue in 1981. He was an epitome of a man, kind, hardworking and devoted to his family and friends. Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing and ice fishing and was communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. He was predeceased by his parents and his sisters, Antoinette "Tawny" Colucci and Sophia "Sissy" Butwell. His is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Paula A. Wood Colucci, whom he married January 29, 1969; loving children, Frederick Colucci of Schenectady, Lisa Colucci of Glenville, Christine Vala and her husband Luis of Ludlow, Mass., Laura Colucci of Glenville and Nicholas Colucci, of Bronx; siblings, Sophia Piazza and her husband Anthony of Gloversville, Lora Colucci of Charlton, Timothy Colucci of the Town of Florida; adoring grandchildren, Victoria Colucci and her husband Nick Cordi, Erica Colucci, Carys Curcio, Gavin and Morgan Vala, also survived by several nieces and nephews who he dearly loved.
